1. What CheckAGrade is

CheckAGrade is a community-driven price tracker for graded trading cards. The site displays sale data submitted by registered members and verified through the processes described on the site. CheckAGrade does not host a marketplace, handle payments, escrow, or shipping. The site does not provide direct-messaging between users: collectors who are open to selling cards list their own contact handles (Discord, eBay, Instagram, etc.) on their public profile, and any communication happens entirely on those third-party platforms.

2. Not affiliated with grading companies or marketplaces

CheckAGrade is independent. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by: TAG Grading, PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), CGC (Certified Guaranty Company), BGS / Beckett, ACE Grading, SGC, eBay, Whatnot, Discord, Instagram, X (Twitter), Telegram, Goldin, Fanatics Collect, or The Pokémon Company / Nintendo / Game Freak. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

3. User accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to register an account on CheckAGrade. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account. One account per person — multiple accounts to manipulate data or evade bans is not allowed.

4. Submitting data

When you submit a sale, you confirm the information is, to the best of your knowledge, accurate and corresponds to a real arms-length transaction. Submitting fake prices, mislabelling grades, or attempting to manipulate market data may result in:

• Reputation reduction
• Submission rejection
• Account suspension or ban
• Removal of all your contributed data

5. "Open to offers" flag and off-platform contact

You can flag any card in your collection as "open to offers." This causes the card to appear in the public /for-sale directory next to whichever contact handles you have added to your profile (Discord, eBay, Instagram, etc.). CheckAGrade is not a party to any transaction. We do not host listings, hold funds, guarantee delivery or authenticity, or verify any seller's identity.

Before contacting a seller or buyer about a card, we strongly recommend:

• Check the user's reputation and submission history on their CheckAGrade profile
• Conduct the actual transaction on a platform with buyer protection (eBay, Whatnot, PayPal Goods & Services, credit card) — avoid bank transfer or PayPal Friends & Family
• Ask for additional photos including the cert number visible on the slab
• Use tracked, signed-for shipping for any high-value card

Any dispute is between the buyer and seller and the platform on which they transacted. CheckAGrade does not arbitrate, mediate, or compensate either party.

6. Prohibited content

You may not post on CheckAGrade (in bios, profile text, submission notes, or contact handle fields):

• References to counterfeit cards or fake graded slabs
• Stolen property
• Illegal items
• Adult / explicit content
• Harassment, hate speech, or threats
• Personal information of others (doxxing)
• Spam, scams, pyramid schemes, or other deceptive content

7. Moderation and account actions

If we become aware of content or behaviour on CheckAGrade that violates these terms, we may remove the content, edit profile fields, suspend the account, or permanently ban the user. Concerns can be raised by emailing support@lazylabs.uk. We do not actively moderate conversations between users because those happen on third-party platforms — report harassment or scams to the platform you are using (Discord, eBay, etc.) directly.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, manipulate data, or harm the community. We'll notify you by email if we take action against your account, where possible.

9. No warranty / limitation of liability

The service is provided "as-is" and "as available". CheckAGrade makes no warranty (express, implied, statutory or otherwise) as to the accuracy, completeness, currency, or reliability of any price information shown. Price information is informational only and is not an appraisal, valuation, financial advice, or investment advice. You must not rely on it for purchase, sale, insurance, tax, or financial decisions without independent verification.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CheckAGrade and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or from any transaction entered into with another user.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use the site after changes means you accept the new terms.

13. Your content and indemnity

You retain ownership of the content you submit (sale data, photos, bio, contact handles). By submitting, you grant CheckAGrade a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to display, store, anonymise, and aggregate that content for the purpose of operating the service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CheckAGrade and its operators against any claim, loss, or expense arising from content you submit, including (but not limited to) inaccurate prices, defamatory statements, or infringement of any third party's intellectual property rights.

These terms are a starting point and not legal advice. Have a UK-qualified lawyer review them before any commercial activity.
